Zahida’s key role models has been her parents. They grew up in impoverished communities where a little had to go a long way. They were shining examples to her and her younger brother– always humble, generous, and selfless.
Her parents were involved for many years in community projects, which Zahida at an early age got involved in. Their love for people naturally filtered through to her.
When choosing a career path, it was an easy choice– to continue to serve her community, by studying in the field of Early Childhood Development.
She opened her school, Incy Wincy College with her dad as her partner, at nineteen years old. The school has grown significantly, due to her selfless dedication and with the unwavering support of her family. Based on the Cape Flats, the school has successfully been running for over two decades.
“Seek Knowledge from the cradle to the grave. “Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) has been the core philosophy in her life and this drives her to continue to make a difference in children’s lives. Thousands of children from diverse communities have graduated and continued to become successful individuals.
Zahida has a Diploma in Early Childhood Development. She has also completed courses in Education Management at UNISA and Small Business Development at University of Stellenbosch Business School.
Served on numerous community organization in politics, sports and education. As an Alumni of the University of Stellenbosch Business School she served as a mentor to business students over a period of two years.
Her passion for education and love for humanity is deep routed.
Zahida is humbled that she has been given the opportunity to be a part of the Sharing Hope Team.
